It’s a brisk, sunny day on the boardwalk in Atlantic City and I’m watching senior citizens twice my age effortlessly run pass me. Okay, maybe I exagerated a little… not twice my age, but you get the point.
This familiar scene reminds me that the first quarter of the year is almost over, and I still haven’t made enough progress on my most important resolution of losing weight.
In an earlier post I discussed my new year resolutions, and how I seem to follow a pattern of forgetting them as each month passes by.
I’m making progress on many of them, and I am even getting serious about my diet, but a dieting alone just won’t get it done.
It’s time to dust off the weight bench and jump on that stationary bike and ride at least 20 minutes every day.
Now, that sounds simple enough doesn’t it?… but you see, the hardest part for me is getting started.
Everybody seems to be waiting for the comfortable spring weather and the opportunity to get outside and become more active.
Not me, as far as I’m concerned, the time is now. I’m tired of senior citizens making me look bad. ;-(
What about you?
Are you on track to accomplish what you wanted to accomplish this year?
If not, you still have time to get back on track… remember, we have three more quarters to go.
