While doing my daily search in Apple’s App Store, I stumbled upon a free download that allows you to send a physical postcard via U.S. Mail.
Anything that makes it easier for postal customers to use our service I will be a strong advocate of it especially since the postal service is looking past the basics.
Stolen Bases and Big Stone Home (Twittelator Pro) have teamed up to create a free download called, “Postcards” available at Apple’s App Store.
Now you can create a personalized post card by taking a photo or selecting one from your library, click a button and have a postcard sent via the U.S. mail to any U.S. address in your address book.
The app will drop the photo on a postcard, tap the edge on the front of the card to add a caption, flip the postcard and tap to add your message, signature and address. Then all you have to do is click and send your postcard is in the mail.
I use a service called Send Out Cards, a personalized on-demand greeting card system. I have been waiting for Send Out Cards to create an app like this to access their system and hopefully something is in the works.
