Here is a quote from Jeff McLane’s article Cheer or Boo McNabb?

“Coach Andy Reid said that he had no idea what kind of reception McNabb will get Sunday when the Eagles host the Redskins.”

My Take: I don’t understand why, but some people hate this guy with a passion. If I mention the name “McNabb” to some people, it’s on… and quite frankly I don’t get it.

I’ve been told that:

He is the most overrated QB ever…. ???

When the Eagles traded AJ Feeley to Miami, that they traded the wrong QB…. No comment..

He is no better than Cordell Stewart (Slash). Again, no comment

The Defense carried the team during their NFC championship run… If the defense was that good, why didn’t they finish the job and carry us to a SuperBowl win?

Now don’t get me wrong, DMac has flaws in his game but who doesn’t?

I never felt Donovan was an elite QB on the level of Manning and Brady but in his prime he was a pretty damn good one.

During his last two seasons here, it seemed that regardless of what happened in the game it was always Donovan’s fault.

He would be criticized for that bad pass he made during the first quarter of a game that the Eagles eventually won.

Personally, I don’t think that he gets enough credit for is how he covered up a lot of the team’s weaknesses during their run.

But most importantly, he rescued me from the annual taunts from the Cowboy, Giants’ and Redskins’ fans. To say I took abuse was an understatement… But I digress.

I hope that the Philly faithful show appreciation and give him a nice ovation…. You know that the national media can’t wait to cast us in a negative way.
