Last weekend. I decided to spend a little extra time on Twitter, tweeting and posting links etc..
Right now, I am starting to get a real grasp of the most effective way for me to use twitter.
Because I am a student of social media, I read just about everything I can get my hands on. There are two blogs that I read every day, TwitTip and Problogger, both of these blogs are by Darren Rose.
This guy is a serious power blogger and someone that gets IT. He is by example, what many of us are working to become one day.
I decided to follow him on twitter and as a courtesy he followed me back. What happened next was a total suprise, my followers doubled, just from his courtesy follow.
There is a common practice followed by the majority of the power players on twitter, they rarely tweet about their businesses, instead they focus on sharing information and building relationships. He is a living example of this.
With all of the automation tools available online today, twitter is in my opinion is the best way to meet and interact with like minded people.

I can't agree 100% about NOT tweeting about your business, but the focus should definitely be on sharing info. Nice blog btw. No monetization though?
