From FantasyFootballStarters,
“Kolb could miss next week too and while a QB controversy is brewing, I think it more likely the Eagles would rather trade Vick before the trade deadline to a team looking for an upgrade.”

My Take – I do not agree with this assessment. I believe the Eagles kept Mike Vic as insurance.
It’s way too early to throw in the towel on Kevin Kolb but there WILL be issues with the Bird’s o-line all season.
Why would you get rid of a quality backup quarterback when your starter got knocked out of the game during his first career start?
Like it or not, Big Red made plans to use Mike Vic as a situational player. That’s another reason why I only viewed Kevin Kolb as fantasy backup. (Vic will vulture TDs in the red-zone)
Note: One of my criticisms of Andy Reid has always been his situational substitutions.
There were times in the past when Brian Westbrook would to get into a nice rhythm running the football and the next play Reid would replace him with Correll Buckhalter.
This usually resulted in a stalled drive, not because of Buck but because it broke the rhythm of the offense.
Now, fast forward to 2010 and it’s happening at the quarterback position.
It will be interesting to see how things play out.
Until next time,
